My name is Chris Cheun and I have been in the NW my whole life. I grew up in Boise, ID but have been living in Portland, OR since 2009. After my initiation into the Theta class for Epsilon Xi at Pacific University, I have become increasingly passionate about Kappa Psi. I am always trying to find ways to improve our Fraternity. As the Vice Regent of Epsilon Xi, I expanded on the professional development of new Brothers, providing mock interviews, letter of intent workshops and study advice for pledges who just entered the program. As Vice Satrap, I tried to improve attendance at the Province Assemblies by creating a Winter Province Assembly Hype Video.
As Satrap, I want to continue to give back to the fraternity that has shown me so much support over the years. I have experienced tremendous growth through the many leadership opportunities and would love for us to foster the growth of our incoming Brothers. I plan to continue the expansion of our communication as a province and promote the attendance of GCC.
Outside of pharmacy school and Kappa Psi, I enjoy hiking and going on new adventures. I grew up playing basketball and continue to be a diehard Laker fan. I recently got a Goldendoodle puppy, Leonidas, and he’s been my best bud through rotations. Whenever I’m not focused on school, you can find me getting something to eat at my favorite spots. I love food and trying new places all the time, so please contact me if you ever come to Portland!
Hello, Brothers of the Northwest Province!
I am very excited to get to spend another year as a member of the NWP Executive Committee! I had a wonderful time getting to work with and learn from brothers from all over our province as Chaplain last year. I’m looking forward to getting to know more of you this year as your Vice Satrap.
I’m currently finishing up my P3 year at Idaho State University. This year I had the pleasure of serving as Epsilon Pi’s Chaplain and Pledge Educator and was able to welcome the chapter’s largest class yet! I’m also involved in ISU’s APhA-ASP chapter, PLS chapter, and Rho Chi chapter. My elected term in these other organizations will be ending soon and I will be able to give my full focus to planning our next Winter Province Assembly in my hometown of Boise, Idaho. I’m very excited to help plan this meeting and welcome you all to Epsilon Pi’s first WPA!
My name is Isabelle (or you can call me Izzy). I am a current P2 at Pacific University and was initiated into the Iota class Epsilon Xi chapter. I am very proud to a part of the 2019-2020 EC board. Before pharmacy school started, I already decided that I wanted to join the Kappa Psi brotherhood. From a rushee to becoming Vice regent of Epsilon Xi, and now NWP Secretary... Kappa Psi has helped me grow immensely, both personally and professionally. I created so many connections and found precious life-long friends in this journey. All I want to do now is to give back to the organization that started it all.
Outside of pharmacy school, I spend most of my time going to the gym lifting heavy things and putting them back down. I also love to hike, eat good food, drink boba, and listen to music!
My goal as secretary is to increase communication within province and strengthen our connection. Catch me posting announcements on facebook/instagram and spamming all your e-mails! I apologize in advance. :)
As of writing this, I am a third year UBC Pharmacy student and this is my third year being a brother of Kappa Psi Delta Mu. I am a rare breed that loves finances. I am the son of an investment banker and I sat on treasury positions since elementary school council. Soon, I will be finishing my two year term as treasurer elect/treasurer while transitioning into the NWP Treasurer position.
My chapter hosted the Winter Assembly and I served as the Budgeting Co-chair where I financially planned the entirety of the event. My ideal afternoon is fiddling around with an excel sheet with a good cup of coffee. My New Year’s Resolution is to run 3 half-marathons this year. My favorite activities are hiking, running and mountain biking. I have an addiction to coffee and going to concerts. Lastly, I know more about Game of Thrones history than Canadian history.
If you ever need tips on places to eat or hike around Vancouver, let me know!
Thank you giving me the opportunity to serve as your Province Historian! I am a P3 (soon to be P4) at the University of Utah. As an initiate of the Zeta Class for Epsilon Chi, Kappa Psi has helped me grow so much, as an individual and as a brother. I have met and bonded with a wide variety of people that are inspirational and fun to be around. As the Historian for our Chapter, I had an absolute blast capturing moments that our chapter can look back on with pride through monthly newsletters and our Facebook page. As the Province Historian, I hope to connect with everyone and to capture more memories that we can all remember with joy.
I have three older brothers, including my twin. In my spare time, I enjoy running, visiting the local farmer's market, spending time with family, hiking, swimming, and reading. In addition to my Mexican red-knee tarantula, I also just welcomed two new baby tarantulas to the family!
Very proud to be your brother 😊
Hi everyone! '
My name is Cynthia and I am currently a PY3 Brother of the Beta Pi Chapter at Washington State University. Go Cougs!
I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Being the Pacific Ocean away from home, I decided to joined Kappa Psi to be part of the Brotherhood! Kappa Psi has given me so much in terms of friendships, and mentors which have taught me lessons that will follow me into my professional career. I have served as my chapter's Philanthropy Chair, and Chaplain so I am really excited to give back to the fraternity this year on a Province level.
During my free time, I enjoy reading self-help books, rewatching Disney movies, and venturing to new restaurants and coffee shops. I am here to be a resource, so don't ever hesitate to reach out!
My name is Judy and I am a current PY1 at the University of Washington. I went from pledging for Kappa Psi, getting initiated into Beta Omicron, going to my first Northwest Province and being elected as part of the EC board in about 4 months. It’s been a crazy journey so far and it’s really shown me how much you can grow by being part of this group. I know I’ve only been a pharmacy student for a few months but I feel confident in saying that Kappa Psi has been the best part of the my experience so far.
As webmaster, I would like to increase the use of the website as I think it has the potential to be a very powerful resource to facilitate communication and showcase what we are capable of to the rest of our community.
In my free time, I enjoy drawing, baking sweet treats, and making things that shouldn’t look cute, look cute. Feel free to reach out to me! I would love to meet more of you!
Hello Brothers of the Northwest Province,
I am so excited to start my third and final year on the executive committee. I can't wait to see what this next year brings. I will be working on all of my charges for the upcoming months as we move closer to GCC. I hope to see all of you at the 59th Grand Council Convention in Washington, DC. I look forward to all of the great things this years executive committee will accomplish. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your GCC Delegate.
ALT GCC DELEGATE
It’s already been an entire year with my position of the Alt GCC Delegate for the NWP. Hence, my duties are about to ramp up with the 59th GCC upon us. I look forward to your attendance in Washington D.C., as well as other Assemblies and Conferences we may be attending together. The Immediate-Past Satrap, Justin Fernando, recently challenged the EC board to bring at least 50 NWP brothers to GCC compared to the 35 brothers we had in Naples, Florida. I will take this challenge to heart, and try my best to ensure every chapter are kept in the loop for any coming news and make attendance easier.
Anyways, if you see me anywhere, then reach out as I always love to meet new brothers and reconnect with previously met brothers. As with my previous blurb, I am an intiate from Epsilon Chi at the University of Utah, in addition to being a class of 2020 Pharm.D candidate. From my first year as a pharmacy student, Kappa Psi has always been the one of the most important aspects of my life. Specifically, I moved to Salt Lake City without any prior connections, and Kappa Psi gave me a new family for my new life. From there, I have been inspired and given opportunities by innumerable brothers I have met on my journey. Thus, I hope to return the favor by trying my best to be the same influence that has inspired me.
Other fun facts about me include being born and raised in the Los Angeles area. Among other things, I also love anime, Pokemon Go, and Magic: The Gathering. Once again, I cannot wait to meet you all at the 59th GCC in Washington D.C. this July.
Respectfully Submitted & PTBYB,
IMM. PAST SATRAP
You won't be getting rid of me that easily ;)
I initiated into the Beta Omicron chapter of Kappa Psi back in January 2016. Since then I have tried to be as active as I could within the Fraternity attending event after event. I started out as the 1st Year Liaison for my chapter and was then elected as the Community Outreach Coordinator. The following year I had the pleasure of serving as Beta Omicron's Regent. I also had the privilege of serving as the NWP Chaplain where I focused a lot of my efforts in creating philanthropic competition throughout our Province to help promote Brotherhood.
Now as Immediate Past Satrap I am looking forward to mentoring our new Brothers and to continue on pushing our Province forward.
If you ever want to go snowboarding hit me up!
